Updates on how we are protecting our residents from COVID-19

3/23/2020 Update

Published: Monday, March 23, 2020

Greetings from Aspen Creek,

I hope everyone is adjusting well to the recent mandates that have taken effect in order to try to slow the spread of COVID-19.  Please be safe and CHOOSE TO STAY HOME - so we can invite you in as soon as possible!

Our residents and our wonderful Admissions Coordinator, Tami are working hard on sewing masks. Our goal is to have a minimum of 2 homemade masks for each staff member and resident, in addition to regular surgical masks. We have surgical masks ordered but are unsure when they will arrive due to the shortage worldwide.   We do have a small supply of the N95 masks which are under lock and key - safe until such time as we might really need them (This is where the prayers are inserted).

As you can tell from some of the pictures posted this weekend, our residents were kept occupied and entertained.  Today, Anna took them on journey to Austria… her armchair travel group had an amazing afternoon of sight seeing, Austrian treats and a wonderful documentary about the country.

Our awesome Med Tech Brady went around to some of the residents over the weekend and coordinated FaceTime visits. We’ve had several family members wave hello through the windows and drop off supplies as needed.  If you have not yet Facetimed with your loved one, we can arrange it - let us know what works for you!

Thank you all for your continued love and support… you have no idea how much it means to all of us.
